Clay

Clay is organic and natural, making them a sustainable and environmentally safe sewer line option. They are chemical-resistant compared to PVC and cast iron. This also makes them durable in extreme temperatures.

However, Clay is more brittle. You need careful handling during the transport and installation phases. Clay pipes and joints are also prone to root intrusion. This also extends to its sizing options. PVC and cast iron have more size options due to their better material integrity.
